Job Description: A Senior Associate in the Exempt Organizations (EO) Tax Services practice at Crowe LLP plays a key leadership role in a highly specialized national team focused exclusively on serving the unique needs of tax-exempt clients. Our EO team is highly collaborative, combining extensive sector knowledge with tax technical expertise to deliver tailored solutions that help organizations meet their compliance obligations and strategic goals. You'll play an important role in the execution and delivery of client engagements, including preparation and review of information returns (Forms 990, 990-T, 990-PF) and providing support on technical matters such as unrelated business income (UBI), public support testing, intermediate sanctions, federal, foreign and state reporting. This role offers the opportunity to develop subject matter expertise, deepen client relationships, and build a strong foundation for leadership within a dynamic and fast-growing practice area. You'll work directly with managers and partners while also helping to coach and develop junior staff. Key Responsibilities: Client Engagement & Technical Delivery Prepare and review federal and state tax filings for exempt organizations, including Forms 990, 990-T, 990-PF, and related schedules Assist in identifying and resolving issues related to UBI, compensation reporting, governance disclosures, and public support calculations Research and apply relevant IRS regulations and case law to client situations Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax issues and industry trends impacting exempt organizations Engagement Management Work on multiple engagements concurrently while meeting internal and external deadlines Coordinate effectively with internal teams and client contacts to gather data and ensure smooth delivery Monitor project timelines, budget adherence, and documentation requirements Team Collaboration Support the development and coaching of interns and staff through on-the-job training and constructive feedback Actively contribute to a team-oriented culture that values learning, collaboration, and innovation Participate in internal learning programs and contribute to the development of team tools and best practices. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field CPA or JD preferred, CPA eligibility required 3+ years of relevant tax experience, preferably with tax-exempt clients or nonprofit entities Basic to intermediate understanding of Form 990, 990-T and 990-PF and related exempt organization tax issues Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills Strong interpersonal and written communication skills Familiarity with tax compliance software CCH, 990 Tracker, or similar platform preferred Exposure or understanding of Alteryx preferred Open to Remote candidates We expect the candidate to uphold Crowe's values of Care, Trus
