The Lean Six Sigma Process Engineer is responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives by applying Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to optimize processes, reduce waste, improve quality, and enhance operational performance. This role partners with cross-functional teams to deliver measurable business results through data-driven problem solving.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support Lean Six Sigma projects using DMAIC and/or DMADV methodologies
Analyze process performance using statistical and data analysis tools
Identify waste, variation, and inefficiencies in manufacturing or business processes
Design and implement process improvements to improve quality, cost, delivery, and safety
Facilitate Kaizen events, value stream mapping, and root cause analysis
Develop and maintain process documentation, SOPs, and control plans
Monitor KPIs and ensure sustainability of implemented improvements
Train and coach team members on Lean Six Sigma tools and best practices
Collaborate with operations, quality, supply chain, and engineering teams
Support audits and ensure compliance with industry and quality standards
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Chemical, or related field)
Proven experience as a Process Engineer or Continuous Improvement Engineer
Strong working knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
Hands-on experience with tools such as DMAIC, SPC, FMEA, 5 Whys, Fishbone, VSM
Proficiency in data analysis and statistical software (e.g., Minitab, Excel)
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
Experience in manufacturing, operations, or service environments
Knowledge of ISO, GMP, or other regulatory standards (industry-specific)
Project management experience
