Robert Half Network Administrator in Cleveland, Ohio
Description We are looking for a Network Administrator to support and enhance the reliability, security, and performance of enterprise infrastructure in Cleveland, Ohio. This role focuses on maintaining core networking environments, administering connected systems, and resolving technical issues that affect daily operations. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with Cisco-based environments, virtualization platforms, and secure network connectivity across local and wide area networks.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN connectivity to ensure stable and secure operations.
• Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot LAN and switching environments while optimizing performance across business-critical systems.
• Administer Cisco and Meraki networking solutions, applying updates, policy changes, and configuration improvements as needed.
• Support SD-WAN and voice infrastructure by addressing connectivity issues, improving service reliability, and coordinating technical resolutions.
• Maintain and support virtualization environments using VMware and Hyper-V in alignment with infrastructure requirements.
• Oversee Active Directory-related network dependencies and assist with access, authentication, and connectivity issues.
• Respond to incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to reduce recurring network disruptions.
• Document configurations, procedures, and environment changes to support operational continuity and team collaboration. Requirements • At least 3 years of experience in network administration or a closely related infrastructure support role.
• Practical experience with firewall technologies, Cisco routers, Cisco networking, and Cisco VPN solutions.
• Strong knowledge of LAN architecture, LAN switching, and switching protocols within enterprise environments.
• Experience supporting SD-WAN and VoIP technologies in a business setting.
• Hands-on familiarity with virtualization platforms such as VMware and Microsoft Hyper-V.
• Working knowledge of Active Directory and its interaction with network access and authentication services.
• Ability to diagnose technical issues, prioritize tasks effectively, and communicate solutions clearly to stakeholders. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
