OVERVIEW
Functions as a trusted advisor and business partner to an assigned organizational unit(s). Must use strategic thinking, collaboration, and analysis to resolve complex business and HR challenges. Key areas of responsibility include talent development, performance management, talent acquisition, employee relations, organizational development, compensation as well as serving as a champion of employee engagement. In collaboration and partnership with assigned business leader(s), assure the delivery of HR Services that are aligned with overall business and organizational HR strategy for assigned organizational unit(s).
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and drive HR strategy for assigned org units in partnership with the business leader and Sr. Director Human Resources.
Anticipate and adjust strategy as needed to meet changing business and talent needs.
Establish strong relationships and operate as a trusted business adviser to understand concerns at all levels of the organization and influence results.
Lead HR processes for the assigned org units in adherence with the HR calendar.
Partner with COEs on talent acquisition, leadership and talent development, compensation, benefits, and other HR processes in support of business internal customers.
Utilize strong business acumen to drive HR priorities, objectives and action.
Use data analytics to identify themes and make proactive recommendations for improvement.
Drive performance management throughout the year by coaching managers on appropriate goal setting, coaching, and feedback; leading to the annual review process for assigned client groups.
Provide proactive and structured support and processes in managing talent and performance issues.
Partner with business leaders and full HR team to understand and deploy best practice solutions.
Provide project management and ownership of HR initiatives and process improvement opportunities.
Investigate employee/labor issues and make determinations on corrective actions.
Administer and advise managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and programs.
Advise management of federal and state employment regulatory requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficiency in MS Excel ability to manipulate data with strong knowledge of formulas & pivot tables.
Ability to adapt & respond effectively to a changing / growing work environment.
Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously with orientation on results.
Ability to be comfortable with a high-volume workload and willing to "roll up your sleeves."
Ability to influence in all directions and at all levels.
Ability to apply creative and innovative thinking to the issues at hand.
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
Being an enthusiastic team player with a strong drive to create a positive work environment.
Demonstrated experience applying independent judgment on employee relations issues and working closely and effectively with leadership at different levels of the organization.
Employee relations experience as an HR professional supporting corporate functions.
Proven track record of leading as a change agent, assessing current situations, anticipating challenges and providing solutions that add value and promote a culture of change and HR leadership.
4 Year / bachelor's degree in HR or related field.
10 years or more HR experience, including time as HR Business Partner/Generalist.
Location: Clevland, OHIO - working 3 days per week on-site at the Academy (hybrid role)
Pay Information: Min salary $132,600 to Max salary $213,400 (annual equivalency) + bonus; DOE
