We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer specializing in CNC processes. The role involves working with off-the-shelf equipment, developing custom fixtures and tooling solutions, and optimizing CNC machining processes for efficiency and precision. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of CNC milling, tooling, and fixturing, and will be responsible for maintaining and upgrading legacy programs, troubleshooting machine code, and implementing industry best practices.
Responsibilities
Work with off-the-shelf equipment and develop custom fixtures/tooling solutions.
Optimize CNC machining processes for efficiency and precision.
Maintain and upgrade legacy programs to meet production needs.
Troubleshoot and refine machine code.
Implement industry best practices in programming and machine setup.
Design new parts and components to meet evolving product requirements.
Utilize SolidWorks for 3D modeling and design tasks.
Perform CAD modifications and edits to existing designs for improvements or customization.
Create CAM models based on CAD designs.
Generate machine code, load programs, and evaluate performance on CNC equipment.
Conduct ongoing maintenance and optimization of programs and tooling.
Essential Skills
Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field.
8+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience in CNC milling, including a deep understanding of tooling and fixturing.
Experience using CAM (MasterCAM preferred) and understanding of G-Code and editing.
Ability to troubleshoot production processes and equipment.
Experience programming and using a 5-axis VMC.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with thermo plastics/composites.
Experience machining composite materials.
Experience with Haas VF-2 CNC.
Implementation of custom processes.
Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks) for fixture or tooling adjustments.
Exposure to TPS/Kaizen, and Lean Six Sigma methodologies and data-driven problem-solving.
Hands-on experience with process optimization and continuous improvement projects.
Work Environment
This role operates on a 1st shift schedule from 7am-4pm in a fast-paced and extremely clean manufacturing environment. The facility has recently been remodeled and includes a game room area. The role offers the opportunity to oversee operations in a dynamic setting where the product directly impacts lives. Candidates should be prepared to work in an environment where processes may not be clearly defined, requiring adaptability and initiative.

This is a Contract position based out of Cleveland, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $53.00/hr.
