Job Title: Maintenance Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to perform mechanical and electrical maintenance on automated machinery, focusing on filling machines and those that pump food products into containers. The successful candidate will work with maintenance calls and work orders, troubleshoot PLCs, read blueprints, and make necessary machine adjustments.
Responsibilities
Perform maintenance on automated machinery, especially filling machines.
Conduct mechanical and electrical maintenance on machinery.
Execute a list of preventive maintenance duties.
Respond to maintenance calls from operators.
Troubleshoot PLCs and report issues to the Automation Engineer.
Read blueprints and schematics.
Work comfortably with automation cabinets.
Troubleshoot, repair, and replace pumps and electrical motors.
Maintain and repair gearboxes and conveyors.
Handle sprockets, chains, motors, pumps, barrings, and cylinders.
Troubleshoot water and air valves.
Cut and thread pipes.
Replace check valves and basic piping components.
Wire motors and troubleshoot electrical systems.
Work with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
Manage 480-v and 3-phase motors.
Use ladder logic, switches, sensors, and inputs/outputs.
Essential Skills
PLC troubleshooting
Experience with three-phase motors and ladder logic
Proficiency in working with automation cabinets, switches, proxy switches, and sensors
Skill in wiring harnesses, motors, and troubleshooting electrical circuits
Understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
Experience with gearbox repair and preventive maintenance
Additional Skills & Qualifications
At least 2-3 years of industrial mechanical and electrical maintenance experience
Experience with 120v-480v and 3-phase systems
Experience working with hydraulics and pneumatics

Openings are available for the 3rd shift (11:00p-7:30a Su-Th) and 4th shift (6:00a-6:00p F-Su, 6:00a-12:00p M).
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cleveland, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr.
