Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Lab Technician to perform laboratory tests and other lab work using both conventional and computerized machines. The role includes preparing and painting panels, determining chemical and physical characteristics of substances, and setting up, readjusting, and operating laboratory equipment and instruments. The position involves formulating paints, documentation, data analysis, and conducting routine tests, including physical and wet chemistry tests like viscosity, pH, and titrations. The Lab Technician will work as part of a larger team and is expected to have attention to detail and a professional demeanor.
Responsibilities
Perform laboratory tests and work according to prescribed standards.
Prepare and paint panels.
Determine chemical and physical characteristics or compositions.
Set up, readjust, and operate laboratory equipment and instruments.
Formulate paints and conduct documentation and data analysis.
Run physical tests on paints and wet chemistry tests such as viscosity, pH, and titrations.
Pour and mix paints.
Collaborate with a larger team.
Essential Skills
Experience with laboratory work and chemistry.
Knowledge of wet chemistry and titration.
Basic lab quality check techniques and quality control.
Understanding of GMP and chemical coatings.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma is required.
Coatings knowledge is highly preferred but not mandatory.
Organic Chemistry coursework is a plus.
Basic lab knowledge and understanding of how to perform basic lab tests.
Work Environment
The position is based in a lab environment, operating Monday through Friday from 7 am to 4 pm, with no weekend work. The role may occasionally require lifting paint buckets weighing up to 50 lbs. The lab is located in Brecksville, OH. This opportunity allows you to collaborate and network with experienced chemists, offering room for growth into roles such as Chemist I, Chemist II, Chemist III, and Lab Manager.

This is a Contract position based out of Cleveland, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
