ManpowerGroup Interim Controller in Cleveland, Ohio

Our client, a publicly-traded manufacturer is seeking an Interim Controller to join their team for a 9+ month engagement.

Job Title: Interim Controller

Location: Mostly Remote, but will need to travel once a week to sites in Erie, PA or Canton, so need to be local candidate.

What’s the Job?

We’re seeking a seasoned Interim Controller-level consultant to stabilize day‑to‑day accounting operations, clear critical backlogs (cash application, collections, account reconciliations), and stand up improved processes and controls while we recruit the permanent leader. In parallel, this role will partner with the client on high‑impact projects aligned to aggressive growth plans, including systems/process improvements and the transition to a standard cost environment. Experience in manufacturing and percentage‑of‑completion (POC) accounting is essential.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance

  • 5+ years of controllership experience at a mid-sized manufacturer ($100M+ in revenue)

  • Standard Costing experience

  • Percentage of Completion Accounting experience
