Agricultural Equipment Operators - Certification/License requirements, Driver requirements, Drug screen, Lifting requirement of 75 lbs., Exposure to extreme temperatures, Extensive pushing or pulling, Extensive sitting or walking, Frequent stooping or bending over, Repetitive movements. Worker will be required to perform a variety of duties found in SOC Code 45-2091 Agricultural Equipment Operator

such as: Mix specified materials or chemicals, and dump solutions, powders, or seeds into planter or sprayer machinery; Spray fertilizer or pesticide solutions to control insects, fungus and weed growth, and diseases; Manipulate controls to set, activate, and adjust mechanisms on machinery for cultivating, planting, spraying, watering, harvesting, storing crops; Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery (much of which is equipped

with GPS) used in agricultural production such as tractor, combine, sprayer, grain cart, mower to produce crops such as corn, soybeans, wheat; Load agricultural products into trucks without over or underfilling bed or trailer, and drive to market or storage facilities; Repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment as well as farm buildings, fences, and other structures; Attach farm implements such as plows, discs, planters, harvesters to tractors,

using bolts and hand tools; Operate towed machines such as seed drills or spreaders to plant, fertilize, dust, and spray crops; Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops; Set up, repair, maintain, and operate irrigation equipment; Weigh containers and record weights and identifying information; Guide products on conveyors to regulate flow through machines, discard rotten items; Position boxes/bags at ends of

machinery to catch products, remove and close full containers. Must be able to speak and understand English. Two (2) months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 75 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a drug test at no cost to the worker and be subject to the employers drug free and alcohol free workplace policy including testing protocols. Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
