Honeywell OT Systems Architect in Clearwater, Florida
As the OT Systems Architect, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our OT ecosystem. Your responsibilities will include driving the digital transformation manufacturing, suggesting improvements to the OT environment and optimizing our digital infrastructure. You will play a crucial role in implementing and managing Operational Technology initiatives, ensuing that our aerospace projects are at the forefront of technological advancements.
Strategic Planning
Develop and execute a comprehensive Operational Technology strategy aligned with the company’s business objectives
Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify opportunities for OT innovation in aerospace to improve business processes and customer experiences
Technology Implementation
Lead the implementation of cutting-edge digital technologies in aerospace manufacturing
Evaluate and select appropriate software and hardware solutions, considering network infrastructure, compute resources and OT security.
Technology Adoption
Evaluate and adopt new technologies that can enhance organizational efficiency and effectiveness.
Stay current with industry trends, especially those related to Operational Technology (e.g., IoT, Ignition, etc.)
OT Connectivity
Oversee the establishment of robust data management systems to ensure the integrity, security, and accessibility of engineering data.
Design and Implement OT connectivity in Purdue network architecture.
Risk Management
Assess and manage risks associated with OT or IT initiatives, including identifying potential risk, implementing risk mitigation strategies, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Digital Ecosystem Improvement
Assess and suggest improvements to the company’s overall digital ecosystem
Collaborate with IT and AME professionals to optimize server infrastructure, cybersecurity, and digital workflows
Cross-functional Collaboration
Work closely with engineering teams, IT professionals, Security engineers, engineering teams, and external vendors (technology partners) to seamlessly integrate digital solutions into existing workflows
Facilitate the collaboration between IT, network security and engineering for a unified approach to digitization
Utilize Operational Technology (OT) knowledge to bridge the gap between traditional IT and engineering systems
Training and Development
Develop and deliver training programs to ensure that OT and engineering teams are proficient in utilizing digital tools effectively and are compliant with OT security standards
MUST HAVES:
Proven experience in leading digitization initiatives with the (aerospace) manufacturing industry
Strong knowledge of OT security standards
Hands on experience with network infrastructure, communication networks, and OT
Excellent project management and communication skills
Exceptional problem-solving skills, strategic thinking
Ability to drive innovation and change
Ability to inspire and lead cross-functional teams
WE VALUE:
Bachelors or Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field
Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, automation, data analytics, and optimization techniques
Organization, time management, strategic planning to keep projects aligned to budget and schedule
Proficient in programming languages (PLC programming, ladder logic, PL/SQL, OOP)
Familiarity with Process Control and Data Consumption tools (e.g., MES, Ignition, Factory Companion)

The annual base salary range for this position in MN is $179,000-$220,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
