Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment, including programmable logic controls (PLC), relay logic panels, AC & DC drives, and test equipment. The role involves working with high and low voltage systems, installing and troubleshooting AC & DC control systems, and maintaining oven burner temperature controls. The technician will install, start up, and shut down equipment following company safety procedures and OSHA requirements.
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment, including PLCs, relay logic panels, AC & DC drives.
Perform 480VAC/220VAC 3 phase troubleshooting and possess electrical knowledge from 12VAC to 120VAC.
Install and troubleshoot AC & DC control systems including motors, contactors, overloads, VFDs, HMIs, thermostats, and power supplies.
Maintain oven burner temperature controls, including ignitors, sensors, thermocouplers, and tracking units.
Follow company safety procedures and OSHA requirements, including Lock-out/Tag-out, confined space, and fall prevention procedures.
Advise operators and line mechanics on safe operation procedures for electrical and mechanical equipment.
Respond promptly to unplanned mechanical or electrical failures on the production line.
Communicate with internal personnel to resolve problems and achieve company goals.
Complete projects as assigned by the Maintenance Manager or Plant Manager, including implementing changes to plant process control equipment.
Utilize the work order system for entering and completing work orders.
Document maintenance issues for scheduling repairs.
Assist other maintenance personnel with technical troubleshooting.
Train other maintenance and technical level employees.
Perform preventive electrical and mechanical maintenance functions as directed.
Essential Skills
Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
4 years of industrial maintenance experience, including mechanical components such as bearings, gearboxes, chains, sprockets, shafts, and shaft couplings.
2 years of industrial hydraulic experience, including pumps, control valves, cylinders, manifolds, hose making, and plumbing.
2 years of pneumatic experience.
Previous industrial experience.
Willingness to work overtime as required.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Knowledge of maintaining continuous coil coating lines, roll forming machines, and slitters.
Experience in installing, servicing, repairing, and inspecting electronic equipment, programmable controllers, and mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical portions of facility equipment.
Understanding of safety procedures, including operation of equipment, working with high voltage, proper grounding, and lock out tag out procedures.
Ability to order parts and necessary supplies to ensure continuous operation of company equipment.
Knowledge of reliability procedures, process control requirements, testing procedures, and job description cards.

Work Environment
Work in an open bay manufacturing warehouse that is clean and organized but not climate controlled, with temperatures ranging from 80-100 degrees Fahrenheit. You will be part of a team of 5-10 others, with a dress code requiring pants, closed-toe shoes, and eye protection. Note that cell phones are not allowed on the floor.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
