Test Engineer, Lead
The Opportunity:
When a user tries a new system, they expect it to be intuitive and run smoothly. Functionality, reliability, and user experience are key to successful product development and that means rigorous testing. That's why we need you, a test engineering expert who knows how to thoroughly test software and hardware and work with other engineers to make sure our team releases the best product possible.
As a test engineer on our team, you'll lead your team as they work with engineers to evaluate products. You'll oversee the creation of a test plan with test cases based on requirements and user stories. You'll generate data and implement the test cases to observe how the system performs, then document the results and communicate defects to the development team so they can start improving the product. You'll automate continuous security and performance testing and monitor the health of the system.

You Have:

12+ years of experience in systems engineering
*
6+ years of experience with progressive responsibility in providing technical leadership
*
Experience developing test plans, writing test procedures, evaluating test data, and determining product acceptability
*
Ability to troubleshoot test issues, identify root causes, and create corrective action processes
*
Secret clearance
*
Master's degree in engineering
*
Systems Engineering Certification
Nice If You Have:

Experience in test and evaluation as a Subject Matter Expert
*
Possession of excellent organizational, problem solving, and verbal and written communication skills
*
Top Secret clearance
*
Doctorate degree in engineering
*
Completion of Professional Engineering license program

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
