At MSI our CNC machinist is responsible for overseeing the daily functions of our manufacturing machinery. This includes, but is not limited to, operation of the mill, monthly maintenance, coolant checks, area cleanliness, and safety guard checks.

*CNC Machinists are expected to do the following: *

·        Initial setup of the CNC to start work

·        Touch off tools

·        Properly install tools into tool holders

·        Determine tools have reached the end of their service life

·        Problem solving skills to detect issues in the creation process and come up with a timely solution to remedy the issue to deliver a quality part on time.

·        Comprehend complex prints, and drawings

·        Good math skills will be needed to adjust offsets, and input variables into the mill directly.

·        Computer skills will be utilized to analyze and measure the approved CAD models

·        High level of attention to detail to ensure the parts produced meet and or exceed the quality requirements.

·        Skills for proper material handling

·        A general understanding of how the mill operates to maintain the equipment for which they are responsible. This is to ensure the mill continues to operate as intended.

Required job experience(s):

·        5 axis mill operation experience

·        3 axis mill operation experience

·        Mastercam Experience

·        ISO-9100 familiarity

·        Lot traceable product familiarity

Additional Requirements

• Mission Support operates as a government contractor. Employment is contingent upon meeting all applicable federal and contractual requirements.
• Successful completion of a background check is required as a condition of employment.

Hourly wage will be determined by experience.
