ES3 Aerospace Engineer-Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO)for in CLEARFIELD, Utah

You will be provided private office space at our new ES3 Layton Engineering Office and access to our two 120,000 square foot aerospace RandD, laboratory, prototyping, testing, production and MRO facilities located in the Westport Industrial Park. You will work and collaborate with ES3's more than 200 engineers, scientists, and technicians. General Summary:
ES3 offers a full-time position for a highly experienced individual with documented professional knowledge of military fighter aircraft structural issues, including Maintenance, Repair, and overhaul (MRO), inspection techniques, specialized tooling, and technologies to determine and extend the service life of aging aircraft.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide expertise and oversight for the inspection, maintenance, repair, and overhaul of aerospace structures for ES3's commercial, Foreign Military, and government customers
Ability to disposition Requests for Engineering Support on safety of flight components
Lead a team of aircraft technicians to perform needed MRO operations in ES3's facility and in our customer's facilities as needed
Design, build, and validate new tools and fixtures to improve the MRO operations
Develop inspection plans, technical orders, and process orders for MRO activities
Work as a team with a group of Professional Engineers, Equipment Specialists, and Technicians at ES3's Layton facilities and customer facilities, focused on F-16 airframe structural MRO capabilities
Interface with customers to identify requirements and ensure our MRO activities meet customer requirements.
Assist with the preparation of bids and proposals to ES3 customers for new structural MRO workload.
Experience, Knowledge and Skills Required:
Engineering and MRO capabilities for F-16 and other military aircraft
Extensive experience in F-16 structural analysis and repair design
Deep knowledge and understanding of F-16 configurations and retrofit programs, legacy and current
Experience in aircraft damage evaluation and crash damage assessments including determination of repairability and cost to repair
Experience in FEA and damage tolerance analysis
Experience in designing new inspection techniques for aging aircraft
Good written, oral, person-to-person, and person-to-group communication skills
Ability to motivate a team of engineers and technicians working on challenging problems with tight schedules
Education and Experience Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an ABET accredited engineering school
10 or more years of experience in military and/or commercial industry performing RandD and implementing technologies and strategy solutions
