U S Postal Service Rural Carrier Associate in Clearfield, Pennsylvania
Local Post office is seeking Rural Carrier Associates.
RCAs are non-career hourly-rate employees with no employee benefits. RCAs fill in for the regular rural carrier on an as needed basis typically on days off and during vacation and sick leave absences. Must be available to work when needed even with short notice and have a safe, reliable vehicle for use on the rural route. After 90 days of employment, RCA's will be trained on secondary routes in the office which will increase their available hours. Work in other local offices may also be available.
Successful candidates must demonstrate through a combination of education, training, and experience the following requirements:
- Sort, deliver and collect all classes of mail weighing up to 70 pounds.
- Must have a valid state driver's license and safe driving record.
At least two years of documented driving experience.
HOURLY RATE: $21.89hr.
USE OF YOUR PERSONAL VEHICLE FOR MAIL DELIVERY IS REQUIRED. An Equipment Maintenance Allowance (EMA) is paid per mile for use of your own vehicle.
Popular types of vehicles include:
Honda CRV, Subaru Outback, and Mid-Size SUV's or similiar.
Must qualify on Postal Exams 804, 805 and 806 and attend Rural Carrier Training.
