Mississippi Employer Deputy Sheriff in Clarksdale, Mississippi
Deputies of the Coahoma County Sheriff's Office are responsible for maintaining public safety and enforcing the law within Coahoma County. Deputies patrol the county, respond to emergency and non-emergency calls or requests for assistance by the public, and enforce local, state, and federal laws. Deputies also conduct criminal investigations, serve legal documents, investigate automotive accidents, supervise and transport county inmates, and provide security in courtrooms.
Duties: Serve and protect the community by enforcing laws and maintaining public safety, respond to emergency calls and provide assistance as needed, conduct investigations and gather evidence for criminal cases, arrest and detain individuals suspected of committing crimes, complete detailed reports, testify in court, transport and escort prisoners to and from court hearings and detention facilities, serve legal documents such as warrants, subpoenas, and court orders, maintain order in courtrooms and provide security for judges and other court personnel, assist other law enforcement agencies and emergency services as needed, attend community events and engage with the public to build positive relationships and prevent crime, and any other tasks assigned by the Sheriff or Chief Deputy.
