Bureau of Reclamation Hydroelectric Mechanic Supervisor II in Clark County, Nevada

Summary Reclamation is seeking a career professional looking for an opportunity to capitalize on their expertise as a Hydroelectric Mechanic Supervisor II. You can make a difference in the West by assisting in meeting increasing water demands while protecting the environment. Duty Location: Lower Colorado Dams Office, Maintenance Office located at the Hoover Dam in Clark County, NV. Remote work/Telework not available. Responsibilities Supervises hydro-electric mechanical maintenance crafts utilized to perform maintenance, repairs, additions, and modifications to Hoover Dam facilities. Plans, schedules and coordinates all aspects of work for personnel assigned. Analyzes work schedules, determines manpower, tooling, material requirements, and methods to be used. Reviews work in progress or upon work completion, provides input/feedback, information, reports or other data to describe problems and work accomplished. Reviews and provides accurate time and attendance reporting of units for payroll purposes Ensures appropriate documentation of time, materials, and status of work orders, trouble reports, and preventive maintenance orders Keeps abreast of a highly complex and changing technology and plans ahead for needed adjustments in the maintenance program, anticipates future needs according to changing technical requirements and works with the Maintenance Chief to provide long range planning to meet future needs. Makes necessary changes in work plans, assignments and methods in order to accomplish the work as effectively as possible. Determines equipment and supplies necessary for the work and assures that they are available when needed. Coordinates the work with other units. Recommends promotions, reassignments, retention or release of probationary employees, or recognition of outstanding performance. Conducts Job Hazard Analysis as required to ensure that work is in compliance with safety standards and Office policy. Requirements Conditions of Employment You must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. National. You must be suitable for federal employment, determined by a background investigation.
