Senior CNC Programmer / CAD‑CAM SpecialistPosition Overview
We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer / CAD‑CAM Specialist with deep expertise in multi‑axis NC programming for aluminum and hard metals. This role plays a critical part in supporting production, optimizing machining processes, and partnering with Engineering and Manufacturing to drive quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate brings strong CATIA V5 experience, hands‑on CNC programming skills, and the ability to troubleshoot complex machining challenges in a fast‑paced aerospace or precision manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide machine shop support and troubleshooting for all CNC programming activities.
Develop, optimize, and maintain multi‑axis CNC programs for aluminum and hard metal components.
Create and maintain CAM datasets, setup sheets, and manufacturing documentation.
Collaborate with Manufacturing on the selection, testing, and introduction of cutting tools.
Work closely with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to support product development, CAM improvements, and machine time optimization.
Investigate and resolve complex machining issues, including participation in Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) efforts.
Support tool cost reduction and lean manufacturing initiatives.
Assist with 3D modeling and design updates as required.
Contribute to continuous improvement projects focused on process efficiency, quality, and cost reduction.
Required Qualifications
10+ years of experience in multi‑axis NC programming for aluminum and hard metals.
5+ years of advanced CAD experience, with CATIA V5 proficiency preferred.
Proven experience with Esprit CAM.
Vericut experience required for program verification and simulation.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, including GD&T / FD&T.
Experience with CNC controls such as Fanuc, Mazak, HAAS, and/or Siemens.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems.
Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with IMS.
Post‑processor development/building experience (training available for the right candidate).
Prior lead or supervisory experience.
Aerospace manufacturing experience, including exposure to airframe, structures, or aircraft mechanical components.
Knowledge of project management and lean manufacturing principles.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Claremore, OK.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $50.00/hr.
