Job Title: Mechanical Assembler
Job Description
Join a production team that assembles a wide variety of build-to-print product units using both manual and automated tools. In this role, you will work from engineered drawings and blueprints to produce high-quality assemblies, using hand tools, adhesives, and sealants while handling components up to 40 lbs in a climate-controlled environment.
Responsibilities
Assemble different product units of varying sizes, handling components and assemblies weighing up to 40 lbs.
Follow engineered drawings, customer specifications, and blueprints to complete mechanical assemblies to exact standards.
Use hand tools, power tools, adhesives, and sealants to assemble and secure parts and components.
Operate both manual and automated tooling to produce high-quality build-to-print products.
Verify that assembled products meet engineering specifications and quality requirements.
Read and interpret technical documents, hard copy customer specifications, and engineering documentation to guide assembly work.
Move throughout the facility and use stairs as needed to access work areas and materials.
Communicate and respond to customer and internal inquiries in person and via telephone as required to support production needs.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following all safety procedures.
Collaborate with team members and support continuous improvement in assembly processes and product quality.
Essential Skills
2+ years of assembly experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
Proficiency using hand tools and power tools for mechanical assembly.
Ability to read and interpret engineered drawings, blueprints, and technical documents.
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail in assembling build-to-print products.
Ability to lift and maneuver up to 40 lbs safely and repeatedly.
Ability to move throughout the facility and go up and down stairs as required.
Ability to visually read hard copy customer and engineering specifications.
Ability to hear and respond clearly to customers and colleagues via telephone and in person.
Comfort working with adhesives, sealants, and various mechanical components.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience assembling multiple product lines or working in environments with a large variety of SKUs.
in mechanical production or manufacturing settings.
Familiarity with both manual and automated production tooling.
Commitment to producing high-quality work with a focus on precision and consistency.
Willingness to work an afternoon/evening shift schedule and occasional Saturdays as needed.
Desire to grow within the organization and take on additional responsibilities over time.

Work Environment
This role is based in a climate-controlled production facility designed for comfort and consistency throughout the year. You will work with a mix of manual and automated tooling, including hand tools, power tools, and equipment used for mechanical assembly, adhesives, and sealants. The standard schedule for this position is Monday through Friday from 4:30 PM to 1:00 AM, with a shift differential of an additional $2 per hour for this shift. Occasional Saturday work may be required based on production needs. The environment involves moving through the facility and using stairs, handling materials up to 40 lbs, and collaborating closely with team members and customers in person and over the phone while maintaining a professional and safety-conscious workplace.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr.
