Philips Senior Software Engineer – Platform & Cloud in Ciudad de Panama, Panama
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and evolve enterprise ‑ scale platforms and services used across multiple business teams.This is a hands ‑ on senior role for engineers who enjoy working close to real systems in production—combining backend development,cloud‑nativeplatforms, integration, and modern automation. You will take technical ownership while working closely with architects, product teams, and business stakeholders.
Your role:
Design and build backend services and microservices using Java and/or Python
Contribute to cloud ‑ native platforms running on AWS
Build and support distributed and integrated systems used across multiple applications
Develop and extend business workflows and applications using modern automation tools
Integrate AI ‑ enabled capabilities where they addreal businessvalue
Ensure solutions meet standards for security, reliability, scalability, and performance
Collaborate with peers through design reviews, mentoring, and knowledge sharing
You're the right fit if:
You hold a bachelor's degree in computer science or related fields.
You have acquired 10+ years of experience designing and supporting production software systems, s trong backend engineering experience with Java, Python, or similar languages as well as working with cloud platforms and distributed systems
Your skills include deep understanding of Azure AI services and their integration into enterprise workflows, proven ability to work with system integration, automation, or low ‑ code platforms, exposure to AI or intelligent automation
Advanced English Level (C1, C2)
How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.
Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.
Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
This is an office role.
