Philips QES Project Manager in Ciudad de Panama, Panama

The Quality Enterprise Services Project Manager provides operational leadership over a projects mainly dedicated to transformational development in support of the Quality and Regulatory organization. They are accountable for the development, delivery, and scheduling of projects, in accordance to quality and regulatory demands and compliance requirements.

Your role:

  • Lead the development and execution of quality based programs (multiple disciplines), ensuring alignment with company goals and regulatory requirements. Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements.

  • Collaborate with cross functional teams and a variety of departments to ensure quality requirements are integrated into all stages of the projects.

  • Stay updated on relevant regulations and industry standards (e.g., FDA, ISO) and ensure that all quality projects are compliant.

  • Identify and assess risks related to quality project and implement effective mitigations strategies.

  • Define KPIs and establish reporting mechanisms to monitor program effectiveness. Regularly report on the status of quality projects to senior management.

  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality processes and drive efficiency. Lead root cause analysis and corrective action process when quality issues arise.

  • Manage project budgets, allocate resources, and ensure optimal utilization of personnel and tools.

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of quality projects and facilitate internal and external audits as needed.

  • Make decisions and recommendations based on facts and data.

You're the right fit if:

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Life Sciences, Quality Management).

  • You’ve acquired 5-10 years of experience in project and/or program management roles, preferrably working in and around quality management systems in a medical device environment.

  • Your skills include a strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, etc.), and lean methodologies to help drive continuous improvement. A PMP certification is preferred but not required.

  • You’re an excellent communication with a proven track record of successfully managing cross-functional teams and complex projects. You have strong problem-solving skills and an ability to lead teams without having expressed authority.

  • Fluency in English.

How we work together

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.

Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.

Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
