Job Summary

Iron Mountain is seeking a skilled Senior Software Asset Management (SAM) Software as a Service (SaaS) Specialist to join our Enterprise Information Technology (EIT) Governance and Financial Operations (FinOps) team.

In this role, you will be responsible for executing day-to-day software asset management activities, ensuring license compliance, tracking usage, and helping to optimize software spend across Software, SaaS and cloud-based applications .

This is an individual contributor role within our Global Business Services framework, focusing on high-level IT Administration and strategic optimization.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the end-to-end lifecycle management of Software, Software as a Service (SaaS) assets—including onboarding, renewals, and usage optimization—to ensure accurate inventory and subscription entitlements.

  • Collaborate with Procurement, Finance, Legal, and Information Technology (IT) Operations to review contracts, manage renewals, and align licensing with enterprise security policies.

  • Ensure compliance with organizational standards by identifying "Shadow IT," analyzing usage trends to reduce waste, and supporting internal or external audits with accurate reporting.

What You’ll Bring

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 5+ years of experience in Software Asset Management (SAM), with a strong professional focus on Software and Software as a Service (SaaS) platforms.

  • Strong knowledge of complex licensing models (user-based, consumption, and tiered) and deep proficiency with tools such as ServiceNow SAM Professional, Flexera, or Snow Software.

  • Proven ability in data analysis using Excel, Power Business Intelligence (Power BI), or Tableau to translate complex license data into clear business insights and recommendations.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
