Amergis School Board Certified Behavior Analyst in City of Industry, California

The Board Certified Behavior Analyst – ES provides consultation, training, conducts behavioral evaluations and develops/implements behavior intervention plans for individuals with academic and behavioral deficits. The Board Certified Behavior Analyst – ES acts as a clinical teacher who educates, observes, assesses, and supervises educational activities and behavioral service delivery in the school setting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Candidates must have demonstrated experience independently designing and delivering meaningful behavior-related trainings, informed by classroom observations, collaboration with school teams, and current ABA research.

  • Trainings should be delivered in an empowering, practical manner to experienced teachers and staff.

  • This role requires confidence consulting with teachers and multidisciplinary school teams in a positive, solution-focused way, as well as the ability to observe classrooms and provide constructive, strengths-based feedback to adults implementing behavior intervention programs. Experience creating and implementing school-wide behavior systems and supports—such as proactive strategies, calming corners, safety plans, and other Tier 1–3 interventions—is essential.

  • In addition to these site-specific expectations, candidates must be fully proficient in core BCBA responsibilities, including independently conducting FBAs, writing and implementing BIPs, developing measurable goals, and utilizing assessment tools.

  • Experience actively participating in IEP meetings is required, including presenting data and making appropriate goal and behavior plan recommendations.

  • Candidates should also demonstrate strong data analysis skills, make data-driven decisions to support student success, and have experience supervising staff implementing behavior change programs with fidelity.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)

  • Master’s degree in applied behavior analysis, teaching, psychology or related field

  • Preferred experience providing behavior analytic programs and services in schools

  • One (1) year minimum pediatric experience preferred

  • Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice

  • Current CPR if applicable

  • TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

  • Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

  • Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
