McCone County Health Center Lab Tech / Lab Assistant in Circle, Montana
Would prefer a Medical Lab Technician, but a Medical Lab Scientist can also be hired.
QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:
- Must have a BS degree in a chemical, physical, or biological science; or in Clinical Lab Science from an accredited college or technical program
- Must be board-certified in Clinical Laboratory Science (ASCP or NCA) AND must be licensed in the State of Montana to practice Clinical Laboratory Science
- Must have good phlebotomy skills
- Minimum of two (2) years of laboratory training or experience is desired
- Ability to organize, plan and implement new ideas and programs
- Must be familiar· and have knowledge of state and federal laboratory regulations
- Must be able to write legibly and document accurately on patient records
- Must have good communication skills and have patience and tact when working with patients, medical providers and staff members
DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Collects specimens from CAH, including long-term care and out-patients for laboratory testing
- Processes specimens
- Performs laboratory testing according to established laboratory methods outlined in facility laboratory policies and procedures
- Performs and analyzes quality control testing, proficiency testing, periodic maintenance and making appropriate decisions
- Receives requisitions and communicates results to medical providers and nurses
Full-time position.
Wage will depend on experience.
