EMSL Analytical, Inc. Part Time Summer Laboratory Intern (Food Microbiology) in Cinnaminson, New Jersey
EMSL is currently seeking a Part Time Summer Laboratory Intern (Food Microbiology) for its Cinnaminson, NJ laboratory location. The role assists the laboratory with both administrative and sample preparation tasks. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Performing standard and non-standard lab prep procedures according to internal SOP's for environmental microbiology samples Record data in specific manner Autoclave duties Media/reagent QC laboratory inventory as assigned Assist with clerical and data entry Working on special projects as assigned Cleaning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of lab equipment Should have good lab practices Cross train if needed in other departments to assist with business demands Requirements: Pursuing an Associates or Bachelor's degree in life sciences One to two years of previous academic or commercial lab experience a plus Experience in testing microbiology environmental samples (water, wastewater, air etc.) a plus Must be able to work independently and with a team Must be able to work in a fast-paced setting, multi-task, and prioritize assignments Must have good communication, computer, typing, and organizational skillsAvailable Shift: Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Cinnaminson, NJ are encouraged to apply.
