System One Sr. Business Analyst in Cincinnati, Ohio
Job Title: Sr. Business Analyst
Location: Cincinnati, OH
Type: Direct Hire
Compensation: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00
Contractor Work Model: Hybrid (Tues-Thurs)
Hours: 40.0 hours
Responsibilities
Use knowledge of business processes and systems to define business requirements and functional specifications.
Manage scope changes and issue resolution throughout project lifecycle.
Coordinate implementation activities and contribute to process quality improvement initiatives.
Work in a Scrum team, collaborating closely with business owners to analyze processes.
Elicit requirements via interviews, document analysis, process descriptions, job aids, and workflow analysis.
Review project initiation documents for completeness and feasibility; seek further clarification as needed.
Maintain project artifacts including approvals, user stories, requirements, process maps, and reference guides.
Participate in all project phases to ensure requirements are well-understood and executed.
Serve as a contact point for functional areas; assist with implementation activities alongside Scrum Master, project, or release managers.
Create and maintain stories for development teams using agile methodologies.
Lead or participate in multiple projects; proactively suggest process improvements to drive efficiency and profitability.
Conduct system overviews or training classes as necessary.
Mentor Business Analysts to develop team skills and environment.
Requirements
Minimum 6 years of IT Business Analyst experience.
Experience with IT fundamentals such as database, process, and data flow analysis.
Knowledge of data structures and data access methods, including SQL.
Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret customer needs and translate into operational requirements.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or comparable experience.
Will work in the office three days per week (Tues, Wed, Thurs) and reside in the greater Cincinnati Metropolitan Area.
Proven ability to be flexible, motivated, and work independently or in a team environment.
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
Effective communication with diverse technical and non-technical individuals.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Experience with financial services or transportation/leasing industry preferred.
Project Management experience.
