The Opportunity The Product Team Assistant plays a key role in driving the growth and success of SO Exclusive Brands and branded products to meet customer demand. Responsible for coordinating projects and managing timelines to support the timely and efficient execution of new product additions. Accountable for maintaining data accuracy and consistency across systems. Collaborates closely with teams across the organization to develop and implement swift, strategic solutions that improve product performance, enhance customer experience, and help position SO to win new business and strengthen existing relationships. Provides flexible cross-functional backup support for operational areas as needed. What You'll Lead & Do

 

  • Adds and maintains suppliers and products in BOSS, including product layout, accurate pricing and merchandising data.
  • Communicates with all relevant departments regarding new product launches and category updates to ensure that they are delivered complete and on time.
  • Supports Front Line Team with availability or sourcing availability of product.
  • Primary internal contact for product and Supplier related questions.
  • Maintains all relevant database information related to products and ensures that all parties are aware of any changes (i.e. cost, product specifications, shipping information, lead times & data discrepancies)
  • Regularly participates in communication with branded vendors.
  • Communicates to management changes with vendor contracts, contacts, and promotions.
  • Prepares various reports and research for the use of the team.
  • Leads and lives by the BERPL Values.
  • Continuously seeks opportunities for innovation and efficiency, to help provide exceptional service and value to both customers and internal teams.
  • Supports cross-functional initiatives and tasks as needed, including:
    • Backup phone support for the Customer Relations team
    • Assistance with receiving or signing for deliveries
    • Participation in cross-team problem-solving or process-improvement efforts
    • Backup support for Volume Discount and Freight Queues
