A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring aManufacturing Engineer.

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will:
The successful Weld Engineer will contribute through supporting multiple project teams in Laser Welding technologies.
They will also be members of a project team, providing technical expertise and guidance in product design and process development.
Activities include development of both weld and production processes, and procedures, for mechanical, electronic, and electro-mechanical assemblies.
The Weld Engineer will support production through operator training, process issue resolution, and evaluation of existing operations for opportunities to improve efficiency, first pass yield, and scrap rates.
The Weld Engineer will interact with customers, suppliers, and programming teams to ensure products meet specified requirements.
Essential Functions:
Responsible for the implementation and development of laser-based processes and technology to meet the specified design requirements.
Provide strong mechanical and technical leadership in laser welding technology field
Proactively maintain industry awareness and opportunities for new weld technologies
Analyze engineering design documents and develop the methods, processes, tools, jigs, fixtures required to fabricate the specified product
Develop and prepare work instructions, control plans, Process Failure Mode Effects Analyses (PFMEAs), and process validation plans
Lead the set-up and validation of new welding equipment and production lines
Analyze manufacturing production problems and implement corrective actions involving designs, materials, and processes
Provide technical expertise and support related to manufacturing
Incorporate new methods and processes to improve existing operations
Review product designs for manufacturability and completeness
Train production personnel in new or existing operations
Interface with equipment vendors and specify equipment through writing Scope of Work documents
Manage capital requirements for laser welder equipment upgrades and/or replacement to ensure sustainability
Perform metallurgical evaluations; Cutting / Sectioning and Evaluation
Prepare reports and white papers summarizing information or trends related to manufacturing performance
Conduct capacity analyses, capability studies, and gaged repeatability and reproducibility studies
Actively participate in Failure Review Board (FRB) investigations
Prepare tooling cost and engineering labor estimates for proposal responses.
Ideal candidate will have:
Bachelor's degree in engineering and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience OR Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
Minimum 4 years' experience in laser welding of Aluminum, Stainless Steel, and Titanium
Experience related to the fabrication or assembly of close tolerance mechanical, electronic, or electro-mechanical piece parts.
Knowledge of Cost Engineering.
Knowledge/experience with Failure Review Board (FRB) Investigations.
