MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM DUTIES
What is expected of me? - Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Cut steel to be used on jobs and maintain steel stock in bins.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Cut, shear, punch, tap, drill steel by using various types of machines in the machine shop.
Monitor structural steel and order through supervisor when stock gets low.
Read blueprints.
Perform proper procedure, (breaking, cutting, shearing punching tapping, drilling, rolling material) on steel and deliver to master builder.
Thread pipe on an as needed basis.
Operate crane to move steel sheets.
Load and unload trucks as steel is delivered, by using crane and/or tow motor.
Maintain steel scrap barrels.
Other functions as directed.
Must be able to operate press brake and laser. *Note these specific job duties are required for metal processing area only.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None. May assist in training temporary/new employees.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma, and/or equivalent. Minimum of two to four years practical factory experience.
Language Skills: Be able to identify work process problems and possible solutions.
Certificates/Licenses/Registrations: None.
Physical Demands: Stand for prolonged periods of time on concrete floor. Will be required to kneel, squat, stoop, recline, climb, crawl, and/or bend on an as needed basis. Must be able to adjust visual focus. Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs. unassisted, over 70 lbs with assistance of a lifting device.
Work Environment: Traditional shop atmosphere. Subject to temperature variance based on season. Loud noise level. May be exposed to various fumes or smells based on job.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Required to wear and/or use safety equipment/ devices based on position. Must be able to work O.T. on an extended basis up to 50-60 hours a week total. Second shift and/or third shift assignments may be required. Must have working knowledge of CNC type equipment and knowledge of basic computer operation.
