Learning & Organizational Development Intern

Position Overview

Under the guidance of the Learning & Organizational Development Specialist and Executive Director, People Operations, the Learning & Organizational Development (L&OD) Intern will support the planning, coordination, and delivery of programs and initiatives that help associates learn, grow, and succeed at Raymond Storage Concepts (RSC).

This role provides hands-on experience across multiple areas of learning and development — including onboarding, training coordination, employee development, and engagement. The L&OD Intern will assist with preparing materials, supporting sessions, maintaining learning resources, and helping ensure a seamless experience for associates participating in development programs.

The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and eager to learn how learning and OD programs are built and delivered in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):

Learning & Development Program Support

  • Assist with planning, preparation, and day-of coordination for learning programs
  • Help develop and refine presentation decks, participant materials, and follow-up resources
  • Provide on-site session support

Onboarding & Early Employee Experience

  • Support the development and maintenance of onboarding plans and related materials
  • Prepare resources and presentation materials for first day activities
  • Help coordinate logistics for new hire and orientation-related events

Learning Resources & LMS Support

  • Review online courses within the ADP Learning Management System and help identify relevant additions or updates
  • Assist in organizing content and building development catalogs or learning paths
  • Support basic reporting and data tracking related to course participation and completions

Administrative & Project Support

  • Maintain organized files, templates, and project trackers
  • Conduct research on learning, leadership, or engagement best practices
  • Support the creation of internal communication materials and learning resources

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Organizational Leadership, Business, Human Resources, Education, Psychology, or a related field
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Teams, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, Forms)
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Collaborative, proactive, and eager to learn in a professional environment
  • Interest in learning, culture, and employee development

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the internship, the L&OD Intern will:

  • Gain practical experience supporting learning and development initiatives in a business environment
  • Understand the structure and delivery of onboarding and training programs
  • Develop project coordination, communication, and facilitation support skills
