Our client is an industry and global leader in developing consumer products in various areas of their business. Some of the industries that they support are Hygiene, Health and Beauty, Life Care as well as cosmetics. This is an amazing opportunity to work with one of the biggest companies in the chemical and cosmetic field.
They are now hiring for an entry-level Lab Technician with hands-on experience in histological techniques. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tissue processing and sectioning along with molecular biology techniques.
Schedule: 32 hours a week, Flexible between Mon-Fri 8a-5p
Type of Job : 4 month contract; likely to extend up to a year
Responsibilities:
Perform histological procedures, including tissue fixation, embedding, sectioning, and staining
Prepare and analyze tissue samples with a high degree of accuracy and consistency
Conduct nucleic acid isolation (DNA/RNA) from various sample types
Perform and analyze qPCR assays, including data interpretation and reporting
Maintain accurate laboratory records and documentation
Follow established protocols and ensure compliance with laboratory safety and quality standards
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support research and development activities
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Life Sciences, or a related field
Hands-on experience with histological techniques, particularly tissue sectioning
Experience with nucleic acid extraction and qPCR assays preferred
