Diesel Maintenance Technician (B)Job Overview Vehicle Technician B will repair and maintain all types of customer vehicles and equipment, including material handling, trailers, and diesel-powered equipment; perform job duties independently with limited supervision; provide mentoring and assistance to Vehicle Technician C's as needed.Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Basic welding and cutting torch operation skills
- Basic electrical, mechanical diagnostics, and repair skills
- Understanding of tire ination systems
- Knowledge and ability to mount and dismount tires
- Basic diagnostic tool skills
- Ability to schedule and prioritize daily tasks
- Must adhere to company uniform and appearance standards
- Professional and appropriate interaction with internal and external customers
- Ability to comprehend and follow verbal and written instructions tools, equipment, machinery and, or materials used to power, hand, diagnostic tools operate material handling equipment
- Must be capable of driving company equipment including class 8 tractors working conditions
- Must be able to work a exible schedule and be able to vary the start and nish times, possibly including weekends and holidays
- Basic computer skills
- Each technician needs to provide their own tools
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High school diploma or GED
- Knowledge acquired through 3-5 years of relevant work experience
- D.O.T. Brake Inspection certification
Coca-Cola Consolidated is the nation's largest Coca-Cola bottler. Our diesel/fleet mechanics service external customers as well as Coca-Cola Consolidated fleet equipment. Technicians are employed by Coca Cola Consolidated, Inc and managed by Red Classic Transit, LLC.
Pay Range: 33.00-33.41 per_hour, General Benefits:
