Job Title: Controls EngineerJob Description
The Controls Engineer designs and develops PLC programs for material handling equipment. This role requires comprehensive knowledge of equipment and customer requirements, driving the design of technical solutions. The position involves participating in all phases of the product development lifecycle, including analysis, design, electrical designs, installation support, and debugging. The Controls Engineer also supports other engineering staff associated with electrical hardware engineering and works independently to resolve site requirement changes.
Responsibilities
Design and develop PLC programs for material handling equipment.
Collaborate with internal engineering/project management teams and customers to determine system requirements.
Support electrical installation by interfacing with electrical installers.
Debug electrical installation of controls and motor components.
Essential Skills
Experience in Controls Engineering with a minimum of 3 years in the field.
Proficiency in PLC programming, specifically with Allen-Bradley.
Knowledge of material handling equipment, conveyors, and automation.
Familiarity with Studio 5000 and Rockwell RSLogix.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
Ability to travel 60-70% of the time.
Work Environment
This role requires travel across the country to client sites, with travel comprising 60-70% of the time. Typically, the schedule involves 10 days on-site followed by 4 days off. Travel expenses are covered, and a per diem of $65.00 per day is provided.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cincinnati, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $50.00/hr.
