ManpowerGroup Controls Engineer in Cincinnati, Ohio
Our client, a leading manufacturing organization specializing in plant-based raw materials and advanced automation solutions, is seeking a Controls Engineer to join their team. As a Controls Engineer, you will be part of the Maintenance & Reliability department supporting site-wide control and automation projects. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a proactive mindset, and a collaborative spirit, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Controls Engineer
Location: Cincinnati, Ohio
Pay Range: $80,000 - $100,000
What's the Job?
Design and optimize PLC logic to enhance manufacturing processes, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
Interpret electrical schematics and control diagrams to inform system design and integration.
Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and data analysis to troubleshoot and resolve complex control system issues.
Lead root cause investigations for persistent problems and implement effective, permanent solutions.
Provide technical leadership for site-wide control and automation projects, supporting downtime events with expert controls knowledge.
What's Needed?
Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Technology, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
5+ years of experience designing, programming, and troubleshooting PLC systems, preferably with Allen-Bradley platforms.
Experience working with Wonderware System Platform and Rockwell Suite of Software, including Studio 5000 / RS Logix 5000 and Factory Talk.
Strong understanding of electrical schematics, control diagrams, and advanced diagnostic techniques.
Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
