JOB SUMMARY
The Accounting Clerk role is an entry level position that is responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and supporting compliance with regulatory standards.
Essential Functions:
Process invoices, expense reports, and vendor payments.
Verify accuracy of invoices, reports, and account postings.
Communicate with vendors, employees, and internal teams to resolve discrepancies.
Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks.
Prepare basic financial reports and spreadsheets.
Maintain organized digital and physical financial records.
Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and analysis.
Identify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows and recommend simple process improvements.
Help document updated procedures and contribute to improving team efficiency.
Perform general administrative tasks and special projects as assigned.
Additional Responsibilities:
Ensures personal compliance with RENK Code of conduct, RENK America Guide to Good Conduct, Company Policies, Company Values, Procedures and Ethics.
Maintains a safe work environment. Follows all safety rules, regulations, and procedures. Reports accidents/incidents/near misses/concerns immediately to supervisor and/or EHS department.
Supports company quality policy and procedures for the position. Follows and complies with all relevant ISO 9001 work instructions.
Completes all required trainings timely (i.e., quarterly compliance, EHS, security, trade compliance, HR, etc.)
Maintains complete security and confidentiality off all company records and employee data.
Ensures work environment is free from any form of harassment. Reports incidents immediately to supervisor, HR department and/or ethics.
Ensures compliance with the companies Affirmative Action/EEO policy.
Participation in company performance management processes (i.e. goal setting, performance reviews).
Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
Associates's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field (preferred)
1-2 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting (preferred).
High School Diploma or Equivalent (required).
Proficiency working with Microsoft Office Suite, to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other Windows based PC tools.
Financial software skills.
Familiarity with basic accounting procedures and principles.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
Good communication skill both written and verbal.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Consistent reading and visual acuity required.
Frequently sitting, grasping, gripping, handling, and climbing stairs.
Occasional carrying, reaching, repetitive motions, standing and walking.
Hazards of work environment for manufacturing including some vibrations and occasionally noise levels.
Driver's License for minor Business Travel.
