The Coca-Cola Company Logistic Project and Process Improvements Specialist in Cidra, Puerto Rico

About the Role

The Logistics Project and Process Improvements Specialist is responsible for leading and supporting projects that enhance logistics operations, improve process efficiency, reduce costs, and increase service levels across the supply chain. This role partners closely with cross‑functional teams and distribution centers to analyze current-state processes, identify improvement opportunities, and implement sustainable solutions using project management and continuous improvement methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support logistics-related projects focused on process optimization, cost reduction, and service improvement

  • Use data analytics to track performance, quantify benefits, and support decision-making

  • Analyze current-state logistics processes including inbound materials, outbound finished goods, warehousing, and transportation

  • Identify inefficiencies and root causes using data analysis, value stream mapping, and process reviews

  • Design and implement process improvements that support safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives

  • Develop, update, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions

  • Lead pilot programs and proof‑of‑concept initiatives for new digital solutions or automation technologies

  • Support project planning, execution, tracking, and reporting, including timelines, risks, and performance metrics

  • Collaborate with plant operations, production planning, procurement, quality, engineering, and external logistics providers

  • Monitor and report key logistics KPIs such as OTIF, complaints, inventory loss, inventory value, freight costs, and lead times

  • Support change management through training, communication, and documentation

  • Ensure logistics processes align with manufacturing standards, safety requirements, and compliance policies

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field

  • 3+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or process improvement roles

  • Hands-on experience working in or supporting manufacturing and plant-based operations

  • Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with BI tools is a plus

  • Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives and prioritize effectively

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Continuous Improvement methodologies

  • Proficient in SAP

  • Experience supporting cross‑site or multi‑plant logistics initiatives

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent certification

  • Familiarity with safety and regulatory requirements in manufacturing environments
