    Job Description

The buyer/planner is responsible for ensuring the supply of materials and services necessary for production and new CMP programs, according to the manager's guidelines. They manage the entire purchasing process, including calls for tenders, financial analyses, and cross-functional coordination to support strategic decisions. They monitor supplier performance to ensure an efficient and competitive supply chain, contributing directly to the company's growth. Finally, they analyze market trends, maintain strong relationships with suppliers, and work closely with other departments to develop and implement procurement strategies.

Role and responsibilities

  • Manage supplier relationships, create new accounts, obtain quotes, and ensure document compliance (certificates, REACH, RoHS, SDS).

  • Place and track purchase orders, manage stockouts, material substitutions, and inter-site transfers.

  • Maintain supplier and item data in the LN system, update prices, classes, and product lines.

  • Produce monthly forecasts, monitor inventory and storage capacity, validate demand via LN.

  • Track performance indicators, supplier contracts, and cost reduction strategies.

  • Participate in process improvement, negotiations, and ensure the lowest total cost of ownership.

  • Track delivery dates, inform planning, and resolve supplier non-conformities.

  • Collaborate with program managers to anticipate needs and inform suppliers of project impacts.

  • All other related tasks are considered part of the role and may be assigned as needed.

    Knowledge and Skill Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in direct strategic supplier sourcing.

  • Experience with an ERP system, preferably LN.

  • Excellent ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve strategic objectives.

  • Proficiency in negotiations, problem solving, and interpersonal relations.

  • Strong expertise in financial analysis and manufacturing cost management to optimize supplier competitiveness.

  • In-depth experience in international logistics, trade regulations, and contract obligation management.

  • Ability and willingness to travel for professional activities nationally and internationally.

  • Master the French and English language (customers/clients from the United States).
