Expressions of Interest –Bridges, Maritime and Civil Structures

We are actively recruiting for a range of roles at all levels due to growth. You will contribute to several critical infrastructure projects in our transport sector. In particular, WSP is working on a number of major infrastructure projects including the Roads of National Significance (RoNS), Roads of Regional Significance (RoRS) and other significant infrastructure projects across New Zealand such as:

  • Northland Corridor

  • Mill Road

  • Otaki to North Levin

  • Cambridge to Piarere

  • Tauriko

  • Hawkes Bay Expressway

  • Mount Victoria Tunnel

  • Additional Waitemata Harbour Connections

  • Transport Recovery East Coast and various ongoing Cyclone Gabrielle recovery projects

  • State Highway Structures Management Contracts

  • Major Port Infrastructure Projects at Lyttelton Port, Port Marlborough and various other ports throughout the country

  • Water structures projects throughout the country

  • Bridges, Maritime and Civil Structures projects for numerous local councils throughout the country

We are open to speaking with candidates interested in being based in Auckland, Hamilton, Wellington or Christchurch.

If you have experience in bridge design, port infrastructure, civil structures or structural asset management and are keen to work on the delivery of interesting and complex projects throughout Aotearoa, let’s chat and shape a role that suits your career goals. Have you worked most of your career with buildings and vertical structures and keen for larger scale, exciting work where you can be both the architect and designer? Try a move into the Transport Structures sector.

Particular roles we are seeking include:

  • Senior/Principal Structural Engineer – Highways Structures Management (Auckland)

  • Senior/Principal Engineer – Bridge Design (Auckland)

  • Senior / Principal Engineer / Team Leader – Bridge Design (Wellington)

  • Engineer/Senior Engineer – Bridges and Civil Structures (various locations)

  • Assistant Project Manager – Civil Structures (Christchurch)

  • Bridge and/or Ports Inspectors (various locations)

  • Digital Technician – Digital Engineering (Christchurch)

  • Senior Digital Technician – Digital Engineering (Auckland)

  • Engineer / Senior Engineer / Principal – Bridge Asset Management (various locations)

  • Principal / Technical Principal – Ports and Marine (various locations)

  • Engineer / Senior Engineer – Ports and Marine (various locations)

About you:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.

  • Preferably a minimum of 4 years’ professional experience, in the field of structures design and/or structural asset management.

  • Experience working on projects in Aotearoa will be an advantage.

  • Chartered Professional Engineering (CPEng) status or equivalent for more senior roles.
