Job Title: Electrician – Solar Installations
Job Description
This role focuses on installing and securing solar panels and related electrical components on rooftops, ground mounts, and other structures while maintaining strict compliance with NEC and local electrical codes. You will perform basic electrical tasks, support solar project installations from site assessment through final inspection, and collaborate closely with installation crews and project stakeholders to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality solar energy systems.
Responsibilities
Install and securely fasten solar panels on rooftops, ground mounts, and other structures using appropriate hand and power tools.
Mount racking systems, inverters, and related hardware in accordance with project design specifications and layout plans.
Ensure all installation work complies with NEC and local electrical code requirements, including projects where electrical work is minimal.
Perform basic electrical tasks such as connecting equipment, verifying grounding, and inspecting conduit runs for proper installation.
Conduct site assessments, including taking accurate measurements and confirming proper layout and placement of solar equipment.
Follow all OSHA safety standards and maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site at all times.
Collaborate with installation crews, project managers, and inspectors to support timely and successful project completion.
Document work performed, including installation details and any changes in the field, and assist with quality checks or inspections as required.
Essential Skills
Current Oklahoma Electrical Journeyman License.
Proficiency in performing basic electrical tasks such as equipment connections, grounding verification, and conduit inspection.
Ability to interpret and follow NEC and local electrical code requirements in all aspects of solar installation.
Experience using hand and power tools safely and effectively for mechanical and electrical installation work.
Capability to read and follow design specifications, layouts, and installation drawings.
Strong commitment to following OSHA safety standards and maintaining a safe work environment.
Ability to collaborate effectively with installation crews, project managers, and inspectors.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience working on solar installations or similar outdoor electrical construction projects.
Strong attention to detail in measurements, layout, and equipment placement.
Ability to document work accurately and assist with quality control and inspections.
Comfort working in varying outdoor conditions on large solar farm sites.

Work Environment
This position is based on an outdoor solar farm and involves working primarily in the field. Work takes place in varying weather conditions and requires comfort working at heights or on uneven terrain around large-scale solar equipment and racking systems. The environment is safety-focused and tool-intensive, with regular use of hand and power tools and adherence to OSHA standards throughout each workday.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $68.56 - $68.56/hr.
