Solstice Advanced Materials Exp Manufacturing Technician in Chon Buri, Thailand
As a Manufacturing Technician here at Solstice, you will employ critical thinking in a clean room environment. Use your knowledge of chemistry fundamentals to help Solstice deliver innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers. You will work under direct supervision and alongside some of the world’s most talented chemists to develop and optimize chemical formulations, conduct experiments, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product development of Solstice’s next generation of products. You will run experiments and tests to aid in the development of improved manufacturing procedures and processes. You will be a part of a group of highly committed professionals who provide expertise and ensure the success of our projects and programs.
In this role, you will impact Solstice’s offerings by ensuring the seamless integration of chemistry principles into product development, enhancing the quality and innovation of Solstice’s offerings. Your leadership fosters a dynamic and collaborative environment, ultimately driving the company's success by pushing the boundaries of scientific possibilities.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Assign tasks to quality control personnel, such as assigning duties or positions on each inspection line.
Check employee work records against standard work practices and provide training/warnings if employees do not comply with the established standards.
Review daily work logs after each shift to track the number of items completed and the number of defective items, and report any problems to the supervisor.
Coordinate with the supervisor to stop the production line if there are problems exceeding the specified standards.
Communicate with the plating department supervisor regarding substandard work to ensure improvements and corrections are made.
Train new quality control personnel, including Kappa testing, every 6 months.
Coordinate with the QA department as a substitute for the supervisor when necessary.
Coordinate with the store department for requisitioning materials and packaging such as tubes, keys, foam, plastic bags, gloves, etc.
Be directly responsible for continuously developing and improving the % LAR to align with quality control policies.
Inspect and maintain the cleanliness of machinery and the work area (5S) as specified by the supervisor.
Make decisions and resolve initial problems encountered, such as work specifications.
Comply with company regulations. Whether in or outside the workplace:
Promote and support related activities and collaborations such as HOS, 5S, TPM.
Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
Experience working manufacturing environment as a shift leader
Leadership skills and well collaboration with other departments
Good negotiation skills
