School-Based Physical Therapist (PT) | 26/27 School Year | Now Interviewing

Location: Chippewa Falls, WI

Job Type: Full-Time

Hours: 40 hours/week

Compensation: $60/hr + Full Benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K)

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist (PT) to provide evaluations and direct therapy services for students ranging from early childhood through 12th grade. In this role, you will work within a supportive school environment, helping students access their education through mobility, motor skill development, and individualized therapy interventions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive student physical therapy evaluations.

  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans in accordance with the student’s plan of care and physician orders when applicable.

  • Deliver direct treatment services and monitor student progress.

  • Document therapy sessions and maintain accurate records according to district and professional standards.

  • Collaborate with teachers, school staff, Special Services (SS) team members, and families to support student success.

  • Participate in IEP processes and contribute to goal development for students receiving PT services.

Minimum Requirements

  • Current Wisconsin Physical Therapist (PT) License.

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.

  • DPI (Department of Public Instruction) license required.

  • Experience working with children or in a school setting preferred.

  • Must be at least 18 years old.

  • Must meet all state, federal, and local requirements.

  • CPR certification (if applicable).

  • TB screening (PPD, questionnaire, or chest X-ray) if required.

  • Current health certificate (if required by state/contract).

  • At least one year of prior PT experience preferred.

Caseload & Work Environment

  • Approximately 27 students on caseload.

  • Students range from early childhood to high school (EC–12).

  • Work collaboratively with a supportive Special Services team.
