Position Summary
The Maintenance Lead will report to the Maintenance Manager. This hands-on position will lead a team of Automation and Maintenance Technicians focused on efficiently repairing and maintaining machinery and building systems to maximize production up time.
Primary Responsibilities
Direct resources to improve efficiency of repairs and maintenance
Ensure solid communication and status updates at shift start and shift change
Schedule and assign daily tasks to Automation and Maintenance Technicians
Lead challenging trouble-shooting activities
Foster culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing
Improve staff abilities by evaluating the strengths and gaps of team members and providing learning opportunities through daily work assignments
Work with the Maintenance Manager to identify and develop additional training needed
Responsible for managing performance and attendance of direct reports
Ensure all maintenance processes are properly documented
Comply with OSHA and other regulatory agencies in the design, repair, and installation of all automated equipment
Assist with on-site installations by examining building and equipment layouts, prepping equipment, and anticipating potential challenges
Follow blueprints, electrical schematics, and engineering specifications for installations, modifications, and repairs
Must be able to communicate with all levels of facility personnel and outside vendors
Other tasks and duties as assigned
Qualifications

Minimum two-year degree in Maintenance, Automation, Manufacturing Engineering, or closely related field
5+ years’ experience in Maintenance, Automation, Manufacturing Engineering, or closely related field
Experience with injection molding equipment preferred
Broad knowledge of instrumentation and related software
Experience with PLC operations and programming, robotics programming, and vision system design/programming
Hands-on experience with ABB, Fanuc, Epson, Allen-Bradley, Cognex and Keyence preferred
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Hands-on, electrical, electronic and mechanical skillset
Strong commitment to safety
Attention to detail
Excellent organization and communication skills
Must be self-driven and able to work with little or no supervision
