Job Title: Welder and Fabricator
Job Description
The role involves layout, fitting, fabricating, and assembling components for Heat Processing Equipment. This includes assembly, dismantling, and repair activities. 1st Shift: 6am-2:30pm Potential for some overtime.
Responsibilities
Layout, position, align, and fit components together.
Use clamps and tack welds to secure parts for welding.
Set up equipment and weld parts using Stick, ARC, MIG, and TIG welding techniques as needed.
Assemble parts by welding and riveting methods, ensuring structures are square and level.
Fabricate oven panels with sheet metal, spot weld, and apply insulating materials.
Perform welding, cutting, and grinding on plate and structural components.
Repair or modify products through dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembly.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in welding techniques including Stick, MIG, and TIG.
Fabrication skills with experience in bending metal and cutting angles.
Minimum 5-10 years of experience in welding and fabrication.
Ability to work on structural steel 1/4 inch or greater in thickness.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to pass a weld and quick math test.

Work Environment
This position is within a manufacturing environment where the noise level may be high. Candidates are required to have work boots, though steel toe is not necessary. The role involves 25% welding and the remainder of the time spent on fabricating, building, prepping material, and installing insulation.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chino, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $29.00/hr.
