Hussmann Corporation Cycle Counter in Chino, California
Overview
Responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels to support production operations. This role performs scheduled cycle counts of raw materials, data entry, investigates inventory discrepancies, and ensures inventory records accurately reflect physical stock. The position works closely with production, warehouse, and purchasing teams to prevent shortages, improve material flow, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts according to established schedules or abc inventory classifications.
Physically count raw materials, components, WIP, and finished goods inventory.
Compare physical counts to ERP/system records and document variances.
Investigate root causes of inventory discrepancies (mis-locations, production usage errors, receiving issues, labeling errors, etc.).
Process approved inventory adjustments in inventory management system.
Maintain accurate count records, logs, and audit documentation.
Verify proper material identification, labeling, and storage locations.
Assist production and warehouse personnel in locating materials.
Support annual physical inventory and internal/external audits.
Work Environment:
Manufacturing plant and warehouse setting.
Exposure to noise, moving equipment, and production activity.
PPE required per company safety policies.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.
1+ year experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or inventory control preferred.
Experience performing cycle counts or inventory audits preferred.
Basic math and analytical skills.
Ability to read part numbers, labels, and inventory documentation.
Basic computer and data entry skills (ERP/MRP systems preferred).
Preferred Skills:
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills.
Good communication with production and warehouse teams.
Ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Understanding of inventory control principles and material flow.
Physical Requirements:
Frequent walking throughout manufacturing and warehouse areas.
Ability to lift to 50 LBS, as needed.
Standing, bending, reaching, and climbing ladders or equipment.

The salary or hourly range of $16.71- $31.04 is just one component of Hussmann’s total package. Actual compensation varies depending on the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and incentives. The minimum hourly wage for this role will be the greater of the posted range, or minimum wage for the location where the employee will be working, subject to local minimum wage requirements.
