Job Functions / Responsibilities

Assembly Specialist positions will be responsible for production at Kenworth Chillicothe. Employees perform manufacturing duties that may include but are not limited to:

  • Assemble truck components and systems according to detailed work instructions and specifications.

  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete assembly tasks.

  • Inspect parts and assemblies for quality, fit, and finish, reporting any defects or issues promptly.

  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.

  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production schedules and quality standards.

  • Document work completed and maintain accurate records as required.

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance assembly processes.

  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.

  • Must be able to perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Applicants must be 18 years or older and currently have a high school diploma (from national accreditation agency or US Department of Education) or equivalent to be considered for employment.

  • Previous experience in assembly or manufacturing preferred.

  • Ability to read and interpret work instructions.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

  • Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.

  • Ability to work standing for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.

  • Must be able to work evening shift.
