Job Responsibilities

Support operational and non-recurring programs to enable and provide tooling and consumable solutions that ensure zero-defect processes.

Responsible for delivering robust, traceable calibration processes for tools used in the manufacturing and assembly of harnesses.

Also responsible for maintaining control of consumables within the production area.

Job Summary

Demonstrates a safety-first mindset and ensures compliance with GKN Aerospace Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and standards.

Develops calibrations for tools and equipment involved in the production or quality verification of electrical harnesses.

Responsible for providing technical support for production tooling.

Responsible for tool implementation.

Delivers measurable, metrics-based results aligned with operational and program objectives.

Maintains positive team relationships with internal and external customers, as well as coworkers.

Continuously improves production processes through the implementation of Lean initiatives.

Maintains traceable control of tools involved in the electrical harness manufacturing process.

Maintains traceable control of consumables involved in the electrical harness manufacturing process.

Job Qualifications

Essential:

  • Education level: Technical education

  • Experience in calibration or inventory control, specifically in consumables management

  • Basic handling of manual tools

  • Basic use of Microsoft Office applications

Desirable:

  • Consumables and/or tooling management

  • Familiarity with the APQP AS9145 process or equivalent

  • Experience in new product/process introduction (industrialization) and improvements to existing production processes

  • Ability to build trust and establish effective working relationships within a global organization

  • Practical knowledge of LEAN processes and practices

  • Practical knowledge of quality system models such as ISO9000, AS9100, or D1-9000

  • Basic English proficiency

  • Knowledge of ISO certifications (14001, 50001, 45001)

  • Knowledge of electrical diagrams

  • Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
