Resideo Sr Advanced Engineering Test Engineer in CHIHUAHUA, Mexico

Senior Advanced Test Engineer – NPI Manufacturing

Designer: Take the technical lead role within a team to design, modify, write, and implement automated manufacturing test equipment solutions (including hardware design and/or software programs using LabVIEW, TestStand, and C# test environments ). You will support the development of or the investigation/analysis of issues to root cause, propose the fix, implement changes, and verify and validate the final solution. You will translate manufacturing and product requirements into scalable test solutions ready for production environments.

Lab: Be a technical lead and focal point on a team that uses automated test equipment and instrumentation to validate electronic product designs and manufacturing processes. You will work with cross-functional teams including R&D, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, and Senior Test Engineers to test products through the full development cycle. You will investigate and analyze issues to root cause, propose corrective actions, and verify and validate the final solution.

This role provides the opportunity to be engaged in the full product lifecycle, from concept through NPI and production ramp , including hands-on lab work to test, verify, and validate that products meet manufacturing, quality, and customer requirements. Use your creativity and technical expertise to develop robust testing strategies and scalable manufacturing test platforms for a leading industry.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Lead requirements definition and test coverage traceability

  • Oversee test architecture and system concept design

  • Lead technical design reviews for test solutions

  • Develop user instructions and technical documentation

  • Setup test benches, automation platforms, and instrumentation

  • Integration of hardware and software in automated test stations

  • Product and test system debugging

  • Verification and validation of test systems and manufacturing processes

  • Documentation and release of test solutions to manufacturing

  • Technical support for production and cross-functional teams

YOU MUST HAVE:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in electronic products and functional manufacturing test.

  • Strong expertise in LabVIEW, TestStand, and C#.

  • Proven experience leading NPI programs in real manufacturing environments.

  • Deep understanding of automated test architecture and industrialization.

  • Fluent technical English (written and verbal).

  • Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills.

  • Availability to travel 30% (VISA required)

WE VALUE:

  • Experience with National Instruments platforms, RF instrumentation, and automated test equipment

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Systems Engineering, or related field.

  • Experience with electronic products, embedded systems, or connected devices

  • Individuals who assemble facts from various sources, analyze data, and provide informed technical recommendations

  • Ability to use data to drive technical decisions and improvements

  • Ability to manage multiple complex technical tasks simultaneously

  • Experience writing and presenting technical documentation and engineering reports

  • Proven track record developing test hardware and software solutions

  • Experience supporting NPI, product validation, and manufacturing ramp
