Key Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a Treasury Management sales team serving CRE clients, using consultative sales strategies based on market trends. Target high-potential segments by analyzing opportunities, competition, and regulations, and adapt sales approaches with data-driven insights for sustained growth.
Collaborate with Relationship Managers and business executives to facilitate deposit growth, aligning outreach strategies, joint account plans, and success strategies for significant opportunities.
Manage team pipeline, forecasting, active use of Salesforce for managing opportunities
Work with internal partners to deliver seamless onboarding and ongoing service.
Recruit, onboard, coach, and manage talent.
Foster compliance, risk management, and ethical practices.
Player-Coach Expectations
Maintains an individual production objective while ensuring that overall team goals are achieved.
Dedicates significant time engaging with team members in the market (joint client visits, deal strategy discussions, and presentation support) to support performance improvement and skill development.
Establishes a consistent operating rhythm through pipeline reviews, activity management, and structured coaching routines, consistently upholding standards.
Serves as the escalation point for complex transactions, pricing concerns, onboarding matters, and relationship challenges.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience; CTP certification preferred.
10+ years in treasury management, commercial banking, or real estate sales, with consultative selling success and a proven record of meeting sales targets.
Leadership or coaching experience, and ability to develop top-performing teams.
Strong knowledge of treasury management, CRE industry dynamics, and CRE payment flows; capable of translating client needs into solutions.
Experience collaborating across Relationship Management, Product, Implementation, and Risk in a matrixed environment.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, including comfort with senior stakeholders.

At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $180,000 - $200,000 for the market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which may also include a discretionary bonus component.
