Job Summary
Iron Mountain is seeking a skilled, experienced, and motivated Process Documentation and Support Specialist Intern to join our North America Operations team.
In this role, you will be responsible for planning and administering technical and operational activities related to the maintenance, creation, and quality assurance of critical process documentation.
Reporting to the Director of Global Operations Support, you will act as a high-level problem solver, interacting frequently with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) across all departments. You will play a vital role in ensuring the integrity of confidential information and optimizing documentation processes—including exploring AI integration—within a global organization focused on transformation.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you will:
Drive Documentation Excellence: Create, format, and convert complex documentation between Microsoft Office and Google Suite while maintaining strict brand formatting, ensuring proper grammar, and managing the lifecycle of master vs. in-progress files.
Optimize Operational Processes: Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to document detailed processes, identify opportunities to reduce documentation redundancy, and explore AI-driven solutions to optimize current workflows.
Maintain Data & System Integrity: Manage centralized tracking spreadsheets, execute manual data entry for Master Document Lists, and ensure high-level support for all departments through rigorous change management procedures.
What You’ll Bring
The ideal candidate will have:
Educational Foundation: Currently a rising junior or rising senior (Class of 2027 or 2028). Must be authorized to work in the US without restriction (visa sponsorship is not available for this role).
Technical Mastery: Advanced, expert-level proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.) with a proven ability to translate complex formatting across digital platforms.
Analytical Rigor: Outstanding organizational skills and a meticulous attention to detail regarding proofreading, document version control, and folder hierarchy management.
Communication & Collaboration: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to advise managers on update requirements and work effectively within a high-speed, global team.

Location: Chicago, IL or Tulsa, OK (Hybrid Model - 1 day per week in the office).
Salary: $25.00 – $27.00 per hour.

Reasonably expected salary range: $49,000.00 - $61,300.00
Please note that an employee's starting salary may vary based on a variety of factors. Where State, Municipal, Provincial, Territorial or other legal minimum wages exceed the federal minimum wage, employees are entitled to the higher rate.
