• Partner with Operations and Practice leadership to evaluate opportunities and formulate strategies that improve delivery standards, productivity, scalability, and innovation for content programs.
• Develop fluency in the client’s brand, voice, tone, and editorial standards, ensuring consistent application across all written deliverables.
• Manage, coach, and mentor a team of copywriters and copyeditors, potentially including offshore team members and third-party vendors.
• Foster a culture of editorial excellence, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement across writing and editing disciplines.
• Support professional development by providing feedback, identifying skill gaps, and encouraging growth in writing quality, editing rigor, SEO knowledge, and content strategy.
• Ensure copy and editorial deliverables are on track, risks are identified early, and quality standards are consistently met across all formats, including web copy, SEO content, landing pages, email, e-books, sales enablement materials, and partner assets.
• Oversee and continuously improve copywriting and editing workflows, including briefing intake, drafting, editing, reviews, and approvals, to meet service-level objectives.
• Establish and reinforce editorial standards, style guidelines, and quality control processes in collaboration with senior writers and editors.
• Develop and apply qualitative and quantitative metrics related to content quality, turnaround time, and team performance to drive efficiency and optimization.
• Develop and present client business reviews, leadership updates, and new business pitches related to content and editorial services.
• Lead monthly Studio All Hands meetings to share team updates, business performance, editorial priorities, and client feedback.
• Ensure adherence to security protocols, confidentiality requirements, and documentation standards.
• Stay current on industry trends in copywriting, content marketing, SEO, and editorial practices to bring forward innovative ideas.
